USES/SOURCES: Rodenticide, insecticide and a fumigant, chemical intermediate in the production of synthetic fibres, plastics, and nitrites.
TOXICOLOGY: Can cause rapid death due to metabolic asphyxiation.. An exposure of 270ppm HCn has been quoted to be immediately fatal to humans.
