Portable Multi-gas monitors

As their name suggests, portable multi gas detectors are designed to monitor multiple substances that could be present.

Whilst some applications pose only a single gas hazard, others could expose workers and the general public to multiple threats – rather than carrying multiple devices around, a multi gas detector allows you to monitor a number of substances from one handy device.

Portable multi gas monitors can be used in varying applications, including:

  • Confined space entry
  • Marine and off shore oil wells
  • Trenches, silos and railcars
  • Cruise ships
  • Tunnels
  • Power plants
  • Waste water treatment plants
  • Landfill operations
  • Coal mines
  • Sewers and manholes
  • Refineries and petrochemical plants
  • Pulp and paper industry

The MicroRAE, QRAE 2, QRAE 3, GasAlert Max XTII, GasAlert MicroClip X3, GasAlert MicroClip XL, GasAlert Quattro and the BW Clip 4 are able to monitor up to four gas hazards at a time. Common substances monitored include hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide, oxygen and combustibles (LEL).

The GasAlert Micro 5 is able to monitor up to five potential atmospheric hazards. Common substances monitored include oxygen, combustibles (LEL) and toxic gases.

The MultiRAE 6 gas monitor, MultiRAE Pro, MultiRAE Lite and BioSystems PhD 6 are able to monitor up to six threats at a time. Common substances monitored include radiation, VOCs, oxygen, toxic and combustible (LEL) gases.

AES can help you to determine which of our portable multi gas detection products will best meet the needs of your application and the gas hazards that are likely to be present.
