PID gas detectors utilise an ultraviolet source to bombard gas samples, allowing them to detect a broad range of VOCs (such as formaldehyde, methane and benzene) and hydrocarbons (which typically occur in oil drilling and refining applications).

The PID monitors manufactured by RAE Systems measure in parts-per-million (ppm), but they also manufacture specialised PID meters that are highly sensitive to low concentrations of VOCs and can actually measure them in parts-per-billion (ppb).

Calibration is fast and simple, and there is a large library of correction factors available for a variety of gases. AES can help you to determine which of our PID sensor products will best meet the needs of your application and the threat that is likely to be present.

Areas We Serve

AES supplies our complete range of PID detectors to all Australian capital cities, including: Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Hobart, Darwin and Canberra.
